TERM AND HOLIDAYS

WE DO NOT FOLLOW LAFAYETTE PARISH PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM WITH RESPECT TO HOLIDAYS.

The opening date for Bluebirds Ballet Academy’s 2024-2025 dance season is August 17, 2024, with Bluebirds Ballet Company Audition Class. 

Classes will continue through the fall and spring semesters until May 24, 2025. Bluebirds Ballet Academy will be closed the following dates for the 2024-25 for holidays and rest: 

Labor Day: Monday, September 2, 2024
Fall Break: October 31, 2024-November 1, 2024
Thanksgiving: November 25-30, 2024
Christmas/New Year: December 16, 2024-January 4, 2025
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day: January 20, 2025
Mardi Gras: March 1-7, 2025
Easter Break: April 18-25, 2025

Classes will continue through the fall and spring semesters until May 25, 2025. 

Weather and Other Emergencies

We follow the Lafayette Parish Public School System with respect to weather and other emergency closures. If Lafayette Parish Public Schools close school due to inclement weather or other such emergencies, Bluebirds Ballet Academy will also be closed. Make-Up classes will be scheduled upon request.

Company Auditions: Saturday, August 17, 2024

First Day of Classes: Monday, August 19, 2024

Recital Fee Due Date: September 30, 2024
Costume Fee Due Date: November 30, 2024
Rehearsals and Spring Performances at the Acadiana Center for the Arts: May 21-25. 2025

Please note that we reserve the right to cancel any class for which less than four students are enrolled.
