​​Director Jasmine Bertrand-Vale is a second-generation dance teacher with over 30 years of teaching experience. She, as well as her team of teaching professionals, are dedicated to nurturing the creativity and developing the gifts of all of her students, whether they be beginner "baby bluebirds" or aspiring ballerinas. At Bluebirds Ballet Academy, we have three goals for each student, whether that student be a brand new "baby bluebird" preschool student, an accomplished advanced dancer, or an adult dance student: we strive to 
(1) encourage creativity, 
(2) help our students experience the joy ​of dance, and 
(3) create educated artists interested in the study of their craft.

Bluebirds Ballet Academy is Lafayette, Louisiana's best kept dance secret! Offering dance lessons for all ages, from children ages 3 through adults, we are a classical ballet-based studio, with an emphasis on solid technique and cultivating a love of the art form. At the same time, we provide our students with a well-rounded dance education with classes in jazz, contemporary and modern dance, tap, and acrobatics. From children's creative movement to adult ballet, if you love to dance, we have a class you will love!

At Bluebirds Ballet Academy, our goal is for each of our students to develop into creative artists as they experience the joy of movement through dance.  We provide a classical ballet foundation with an emphasis on creative expression and artistry, exposure to alternative dance forms, student-centered, organic classes, and positive encouragement. We embrace a Classical Ballet Based-Curriculum. Our focus is on creating a ballet dancer who is well rounded, educated about their craft, creative, and strong-bodied. Therefore, we teach classical ballet with an emphasis on artistry, technique, and care for the dancer's body.
